Yaskawa at Global Lift & Escalator Expo Dhaka 2016

Yaskawa Electric Singapore, through its partner – Shaheli Elevators, participated in the 2nd run of the Global Lift and Escalator Expo held from 16 to 18 November 2016 at International Convention City, Bashundhara. With Dhaka’s exponential growth, the dedicated event aims to establish business collaborations and exchange of expertise between quality manufacturers and partners of the real estate sector in the country.

The series of Yaskawa inverters showcased at the exhibition include L1000A, A1000, V1000, J1000, T1000, E1000 and U1000. The team also premiered the Earthquake Safety System (ESS-932) which garnered favourable interests from visitors.

Coupled with Yaskawa’s L1000 inverter, this system is set to be a game changer in elevator entrapment situations when earthquake strikes. At the detection of primary waves, the system is designed to stop the elevator at the nearest floor and open the door automatically for passengers to vacate the car. This seeks to greatly reduce earthquake casualties resulting from elevator failures.
