YASKAWA is introducing Industrial general-purpose inverter GA700 to change your machinery and equipment revolutionary. It will be released from April 1, 2016.
This product was first exhibited at the SPS IPC Drives 2015 in Nuremberg, Germany and System Control Fair Tokyo 2015
Industrial general-purpose inverter GA700
１．Aim of product
The industry has changed drastically due to large scale energy saving regulation such as top-runner regulation for motor and better productivity using Internet of Things (IoT) such as industry 4.0.
The issues faced by customers are also diverse in terms of each application.
Yaskawa has renew our up-to-now inverter series with the concept of “Intelligent”, “Easy to use” and “Safe”, proposing additional values which are suitable for general industrial machine, facilities and equipment via application on each region and market.
The first new inverter series to be released is GA700 for general industrial usage, proposing high-value-added features for machine and facilities. This series not only meets customers’ requested functions but goes beyond with a new motor control giving higher efficiency, cost reduction with built-in peripherals and environmental compatibility worldwide.
２．Main features
（1）Intelligent
-Achieve further energy saving with new function “MTPA control (*1)”
-Achieve customer cost reduction by built-in peripherals such as braking unit, EMC filter or DC reactor. All which are currently additional options.
*Braking unit : Built-in by 75kW
*EMC filter : Selectable Class C2 or C3 or not built-in as optional
*DC reactor : Built-in by 22kW
（２）Easy to use
-Easy setting for customer who is using Yaskawa inverter for the first time by graphical keypad and set-up wizard (*2).
-Available to control high frequency motor (Equivalent to IE3 or IE4 induction motor, Magnet type synchronous motor and Synchronous reluctance motor) without auto-tuning.
-Contribute to minimum down-time occurred when there is a problem with quick access to product support information using cloud service
（３） Safe
-Compliant with main industrial certification and shipping standard worldwide
-Compliant with safety standard SIL3 (*3) as standard, which achieve less footprint and less wiring with no contactor.
-Achieve less control panel with IP55 enclosure (*4) (Optional)
-Improve environmental resistance with varnish coating as standard
*1 MTPA control
Maximum Torque Per Ampere: Control method which follow suitable point to make minimum current depending on load
*2 Set-up wizard：
Initial setting function which can only achieve with answering topics on the operator by conversation style
*3 SIL3：
Standard for system safety on IEC 61508
*4 IP55：
On JIS, the enclosure level of electrical machine is “Dust proof and Jet proof”

GA700 is the inverter for general industrial machine but especially suitable for application below.

*400V above 315kW and IP55 product will be released in the later part of FY 2016
This new release is only for industrial general-purpose series, GA700, other application specific products will be released after FY 2016.
