On 29th September 2015, a seminar on “New technology solutions to energy savings for heavy industries in Vietnam” was held and jointly organized in Hanoi by Yaskawa Electric Corporation and Yaskawa’s officially authorized distributor QS Vina. The objective of the seminar was to seek and provide solutions employing new technologies in energy savings for industrial manufacturing and factories.
It is one of the crucial issues addressed in the recent decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Ministry of Industry and Trade will coordinate with the World Bank to establish a fund of over 200 million US dollars to support enterprises with deploying energy saving solutions, technological renovations since 2016.
During the seminar, Yaskawa leading experts from Japan and Singapore made presentations on situations and needs for energy savings in industrial sectors, sharing their experience in applying new technologies, energy saving solutions to heavy industries and hosting machinery.
This seminar helped Vietnam enterprises to have a better understanding and experience in the application of new technologies and products to save energy in the production process and factories. This is also a prerequisite to improve the competitiveness of Vietnam enterprises in the process of deeper integration into the world economy and market.
The seminar received an overwhelming response and also attracted the interest of the local media. A coverage of the event was broadcasted on Hanoi TV.
Mr Toan, QSVN director gave an opening speech followed by Mr Francis Wong, Assistant Vice president of Yaskawa Singapore who gave a presentation on Yaskawa Corporation, introducing Yaskawa’s products which includes inverter, Servo Drives, PLC, Robotics and system engineering.
Mr Hironobu Tashiro, General Manager for application engineering then gave an insightful introduction to Yaskawa’s new Regenerative energy savings units, U1000, R1000 and D1000, focusing on regenerative & harmonics solution for Crane application.
